On the west coast of the island, in the middle of rice fields, one of the most picturesque areas of Bali is located - Canggu. Despite the ongoing active construction, there is still a lot of greenery and a feeling of spaciousness. The local area is very reminiscent of a village: a large number of houses in the local Balinese style, endless rice fields, and jungle. This area has a fairly developed infrastructure for a comfortable stay and the best thing is that the incredible Indian Ocean is nearby. Canggu is much quieter and calmer, unlike the noisy areas of Bali such as Kuta and Seminyak. Traffic on the roads is quite free during the day, but during rush hours you can easily get caught in the traditional Balinese traffic jam. Mostly, traffic jams occur just after sunset due to huge tourist buses returning to their hotels. Canggu is a very popular destination among foreign expats coming to Bali for a long stay.
